The Beauty Of My Baby Alexzandria

This little angel was named after my late grandmother and more and more each day I wonder if she isn’t one and the same.

Alexzandria

She has such an adventure for life. And although my Nanny in her last years barely ventured outside her front door, this little princess reminds me of her in some way every day. Nothing can hold this little girl back. The photo captures the true essence of this child. In the very back of a picture off in the corner I caught sight of her, just barely noticible.

My little Alexzandria graced this world months too early but was strong as could be from the moment she arrived.

This precious little 5 pound bundle took her first breathes on her own, never needed the tubes they said she would, never needed any intervention. The tiny little 32 weeker had the brightest eyes and a smile that lit up the room. She was a quiet content little angel, and so many people commented on her mannerisms and that she must have an old soul. She just didn’t fuss, always was happy and content. And still is for the most part.

And even years later when she had to undertake her very first surgery at the tender age of 3, she walked into that hospital a real trooper. I’m sure I was more afraid then she was. She walked in confident and happy, like she knew everything was going to be fine. And at 3 she held onto Daddy’s hand, went into the operating room and had no issues. She gave the nurses her finger for her heart monitor, she didn’t cry when the mask was placed on her face, she was the bravest little girl I, or the nurses for that matter, had ever seen.

And even now with the eye patches and the doctors appointments she always has a smile on her face.

She is stubborn just like Nanny. She gets what she wants and knows how to wrap everyone around her little finger. Just a wink and a smile and she melts your heart. She was born dainty. Everything about her emits feminity.

This photo captures in all it’s beauty the child that is Miss Alexzandria Elizabeth, a little girl that proudly carries both her grandmother and great-grandmothers names. My little Alex.

Just had to share the picture and my thoughts.
