Strange Days For This Momma

January 22nd, 2010

As an internet marketer I always get those launch emails where everyone and their dog seems to be emailing out about the next great product, and I wondered how it made that person feel, you know the one who put their blood, sweat and tears into that product…

Well this week I have found out. And it is a very strange feeling for me. To have the “big boys” buzzing about a product I helped create, give life to. To have industry guru’s mailing out on my product, to have them mentioning my product, it’s just weird.

If you have no idea what I am talking about it’s Barter Arbitrage!

It’s just a really empowering, yet strange feeling knowing great like Jim Straw are endorsing your product to their list. To have guys like Scot Standke, James J Jones, John Rogers, Big Mike, mailing out about your product. To seeing your name and your product on industry leaders websites. Just strange LOL.

I don’t know how the boys do it all the time, every day of the year. Have people talking about you, and your things, and ideas. I know there will be those that will be negative, but sooo many right now are caught in the buzz and the positivity of a long in the making, project that took a lot of blood sweat and tears from all of us to bring to lfe.

Anyways, been strange days for this momma.

Wanna check out what the buzz is about? Barter Arbitrage is all you need to see.

A Ripple In Time

January 5th, 2010

With the new year I have looked at a lot of things in retrospect and realized that a simple change here or there really could’ve changed my entire life. The first thought I had of this was actually a few months back when I watch Ripple or something along that title. Everything that occured was a result of a previous action within a certain group of people and in the end when they all reach the realization of the actions that had occurred, they are all deeply changed (or dead.)

Well I thought the other day about some of the things in my life and if they had changed ever so slightly, live would differ greatly.

One major one I can think of has to do with high school. I had a teacher fail me a credit for Parenting none the less because I was at home with my little baby who was suffing from RSV. (Oh the irony…) Because of that one missing credit I didn’t graduate on time. Because of that one moment where she decided my reason for missing that week was not good enough I didn’t graduate and a series of events occured. I ended up taking a fourth year to make up for the credit so I would have my high school diploma. Because I had to take a fourth year I needed to find things to fill it out. Because all my friends had graduated the year before I had to make new friends and in doing so came across a class called Broadcasting.

I never took it before because my schedule was simply to full with needed courses. I applied to the teacher and he granted me entry into the grade 11 class instead of having to do grade 10 level as a fourth year. So I took the course. I loved the course. I decided to continue and do it the following semester. And that semester there were not enough students so the classes were split. We ended up with a class of grade 11’s and 12’s. It is in that class I met my husband and the rest becomes history.

Where would I be if that teacher had felt my dedication as a real parent was sufficient enough reason to give me credit for that course? Who would I be with? What would I be doing right now? I really don’t know. But her action created a ripple, a change of path in my life that landed me here.

Now imagine some one down on their luck, depressed and upset. You make their day, give them a reason to believe in the good of humanity and instead of going home that night and taking their own live, they set out a plan to help humanity, and suddenly the person who would have been dead has cured cancer, or AIDS or any other culture affecting disease. The person who changed their life created a ripple. It was only small to the person affected, but it outwardly affected so many more (such as in above example where they discover a cure.)

That my friends is the ripple effect. I am sure if you look back on your life there are moments where little things changed your life. I bet that teacher never realized that one credit would cause me not to graduate, after all what is one little credit towards the 100 needed to graduate. But her actions created a ripple in my life, the life of my only child at that point and the lives of all I have affected since that point. DO you think she even remembers that moment? I bet you not.

These Last 10 Years!

January 1st, 2010

Wow, what a coming together of items today.

It’s a blue moon. Blue moons occur once every 2.5 years. They are the second full moon, in a single month.

Blue moons on New Year’s Eve are even rarer! Once every 19 years!

But it doesn’t stop there. We also had a lunar eclipse tonight. All 3 of these occurances only happen once every 91 years!

Let’s take it a step further (and I don’t have the stats on this one) but it is all occuring on the changing of the decade!

And it is taking place in the house of Cancer, which happens to be my sign. So I believe 2010 will be the best year ever!

Let’s start with the changing of the decade.

This time 10 years ago…

I had only one child. Angel was just 18 months old.

I hadn’t even met my husband! (Although I would meet him in February of that year) which of course means I didn’t even have a husband LOL.

I hadn’t even graduated high school! I was 30 days away from getting my high school diploma!

In fact, I still lived at HOME with my parents. I wasn’t even out on my own yet.

A lot of things have changed these last 10 years!

Now remember, it is also the changing of the year.

This year has been a crazy wild ride. So much has changed and gone up and down in my life this year I don’t even know where to start. I have met wonderful friends I will carry through my life with me, I have cut strings to those who only drained energy from my life, and I have lost friends I wish I hadn’t.

I lost a grandmother I never had the pleasure to know, although she was still fond of me after more than 25 years after last she saw me. I closed a book on my father. Realized the man who abandoned me years ago is a man I can do without, and who my children can do without.

I married the father of my children, after almost 10 years on All Hallows Eve like I always wanted. Had the gothic wedding I always wanted, and though many I wished could have been weren’t it was my wedding, my way.

Life has been a rollercoaster ride, and I am looking for the moon this year, for if I fail I will still land among the stars.

Onto 2010 and the next ten years…

May all of you have the best year ever and may all your dreams come true.
